The zipper is not too terrible but this one i had a little problem at the end. There is also directions for putting no zipper, I may try that next time.

Great bags,nice job.

dgmoby 12-02-2010 03:20 AM

What pattern did you use to make the diaper bag? I have the Bow Tie pattern, and am wondering if the the diaper bag could have been made from that pattern - just with extra stiffener or firmer interfacing. Could that be what you've used? I've thought about trying to modify the pattern in just this way, but wasn't sure if it would work out.

I really like the diaper bag look...

Great job!

Your bags are wonderful. I have the Margo pattern and am looking forward to making one soon. Yours are an inspiration!

kso 12-02-2010 08:36 AM

I think I see a Margo bag on my horizon.

Quilt4u 12-02-2010 08:37 AM

Very nice.

kkbrand 12-02-2010 08:44 AM

I actually used the Bow Tuck pattern, left off the ties and the button loop and put in a magnetic snap in place of that.

Wonderful job! I had thought perhaps that's what you did :)

I wish I always had such good vision on modifying patterns...but alas, sometimes my 'vision' is blinded :)

I too did one with the zipper, came out well, then I got to thinking couldnt you take her method of a zipper and add it to the bow tucks? You just need to add an inch and a half to the lining. I love lazygirls instructions very detailed with pictures.

Have made couple already, still 5 to go.....Christmas items.....zipper not to hard......after I put first one in 3rd time....reading one word at a time, looking at picture and having daughter double check it.....have also , made 2 with magnet snaps which I love...take your time with them and have fun, let zipper know WHO is boss.

craftymatt2 12-05-2010 10:16 AM

Your bags are great, Is there a tute for the Bow Tuck Tote? I am wondering if my daughter in laws and daughter would like one, I think I will make them each one and they can tell me if they like or not

Thank you
