NIN donated quilts...

6 Attachment(s)
A couple of things I whipped up this month using blocks my quilt group made ..... Donated quilts for newborns in need.... Every month I demo a block pattern to our SewNSew Gals group, they try one at home and bring it back next Months Meeting.. I then turn around and try and make a quilt from what they submitt... and these are the latest ones..

String quilt blocks made from scrap strips using a center white strip..

Back of sting block quilt... I kinda like my machine quilting

typical 5inch sq block quilt.

MSQC exploding blocks...
..

Dont recall the pattern but this was super simple.. sew three 2.5 strips.. Light/Med/dark.. Sew Dark to the center..

Another Light/Med/Dark block quilt..

The basic block is called "Interlocking Squares". I made it several times 30/40 years ago only of three colors. I love the outcome of this one as well.

we used 2.5 in x WOF.... gutr them into 6.5 sqs and you will end up with 6 sqs.. use 4 to make the interlocking sq ....

Thank you thank you for the ideas on your last two quilts. I always have a stash of leftover binding scraps to use up from our baby quilt charity project and this is the perfect pattern! I love it.
