I also think it's beautiful. I agree, it doesn't matter about the ribbon, It's just that is displayed and seen by lots of adorning quilters. I love it

It sure is a pretty quilt....it is hard to be a judge and if they can only give out so many ribbons in one catagory that may be why yours didn't place....I am able to go to the judging of our quilts and I get to here the comments and why so and so didn't get a ribbon.....you can always ask the judges they usually right comments on why they had to pass the ribbon on to another quilt....some of our quilts was for strings or pet hair.....yep that is right...crazy...but that is what happens....

also keep in mind it is only one or two peoples oppions...:-)

Your quilt is beautiful! The purple is amazing and it is going to be loved as much as any ribbon quilt!

It's a very lovely quilt. Great job!

It was in Hattiesburg.

That was a large show with a lot of wonderful quilts. I don't envy the judges job, having to pick just a few to give ribbons to.

There's the show in Jackson next fall, you should enter it there.

I am amazed at all the responses. I just wanted to see if I could put my picture of the purple quilt on the avatar; I've never had one before -- just a blank space. Then I decided to try to post the bigger picture.

Now I may have an ego problem to deal with because of you all.

There were outstanding quilts in the show. Some you absolutely could not believe that people spent that much time making their masterpiece.

One quilt that I just loved was a blue and white perfectly hand apliqued quilt, and it got an honorable mention.

I was not in the judging room; I was busy doing my specific assigned tasks.

Thank each one of you again for your compliments.

WOW I really like your quilt! The judges were nuts. Beautiful quilt! (standing and cheering!!!)

I`d give you a blue ribbon.

When you get right down to it, after technical assessment, it's all subjective. If my friend Dannie had been judging, she would have given you first place. The only thing that could have knocked you down to second (in DannieWorld) would be a purple quilt with purple fairies.

I'd give it a great big Purple Grand Champion ribbon - they should have let me be a judge (-'
