I got a Nook E-reader with my Christmas money this year - and of course immediately I had to make a cover for it to "protect my investment"...yeah, that's it. It's not that I just will take any excuse to quilt.

I did it with batting scraps and fabric scraps I had on hand, in one afternoon. In retrospect, I wish I'd used a middle gray to quilt it, but it is just as functional as it is.

I like looking at it and thinking of where all the fabric scraps came from - dresses, baby quilts, this year's Christmas project, etc.

I save all my little scraps, and I love to use them up, but I have to say, this made not the slightest dent in the scrap stash. :( I think they multiply when I'm not looking.

I know mine multiplies just as fast as bunnies do!!

I made the string quilt in my avatar using all scraps, and when I was done, I swear I had more strings than when I started.

That is darling. And a wonderful way to use scraps. Great job.
