I ordered these from Whittle's Fabrics, Delft collection. I want to do a red and white quilt someday and couldn't pass up the great price.
They are so crisp white and vibrant red! I don't have any design in mind yet... maybe a sampler? |
Oooooohh - really rich, velvety colours, and a great selection of prints.
|
oooooh, very nice!!
|
Beautiful fabrics Pam!
|
I saw those, I love the reds. The blues were pretty too.
|
Beautiful fabs Pam! You are trying hard to make me break that "I'm not gonna buy any fabric this CC cycle aren't you??
|
I loved the blue too but there wasn't a lot of selection left of those so I got the red.

You have great taste!
|
Ohhh, so pretty. They just leap off the picture. Great fabric. I'm sure you will do something wonderful with them.
|
Great shades of red. It doesn't matter what it's packaged in, anytime fabric comes in the mail is a good day.
|
Great fabrics!
|
Gorgeous fabrics!
|
Pam
Your fabrics are so nice. I will be waiting to see how you decide to use them!! :D :D :D :D |
Beautiful fabrics!!!
|
I placed an order from the same collection - just LOVE them.
|
Pam, I looooooove those fabrics and colors. They are perfect for a quilt I've been wanting to do called "Les Femmes Rouge". (Women in Red). It uses a gorgeous red toile and solid reds and is absolutely gorgeous. Now I know where to go to get the perfect fabric!
I'd post a picture from the book, but I suspect that's against the board rules, right? It is from "Family Favorite Quilts: Designs by Tammy Tadd" by Leisure Arts. Here's a link to a picture of the book with the quilt on the front: http://www.stitcherscloset.com/sek/prods/L3536.html |
That's pretty! Would look great with this fabric. When I was looking at them and thinking about designs I realized that I should have got more of the solid red because it will probably need to be in every block with all the other whites.

I've already planned out MY quilt using YOUR fabrics! :D Here's what I want: If you number the fabrics in your posted photos 1-9 reading left to right and down: #4 for the toile blocks and #3 for the corners #9 and #1 for the churn dash blocks #6 for sashing #8 or #9 for the outer border #7 for the binding. But you probably are right, you don't have enough to make it your way, so you should just send the fabric to me. |
Beautiful fabrics Pam - they're really Dutch looking, I love them!
|
Pam
A beautiful choice I saw those & the blues too. Look forward to seeing what you get around to making with them. The blues remind me so much of when I lived on the Dutch/German border. I saw some beautiful Quaker fabrics that I had just bought from The American Patchwork stall at the latest Quilt Show in Malvern that I went to for half what I paid - they don't ship over here to the UK so that was a lucky escape. LOL Tisha |

That will look beautiful gaigai. They are so pretty reds and whites.
Did this in EQ and it can be done with the 1 yard of each that I got. The center medalion is 48". I find it impossible to get the fabric scale right in EQ so you can't tell that the large pieces around the center (before the white) are the toile. The white is a white-on-white damask. |
LOL! i'm a sucker for red/white also. can't pass it up without owning some of it.
those are especially nice. hope you settle on a good project for them. |

Oooh, I can't wait to see it finished. I have to go to Whittle's site right now and get mine before it's all gone! BAD PAM! :P |
Luscious!!!!! :D :D :D
|
I see a dramatic border in the center photo. Gorgeous.
|
LOVE those....I've always been partial to reds, but those are especially gorgeous!

Elegant colors!

You will "loan" it out once in a while, right?? I'll be first in line!
|
Oh, those are absolutely yummy!!! No wonder you could not pass them up.
|
Pam, I just got my box from Whittles. I can blame it all on you!
I got most of the same reds, and in your pix, the last two I also got in blue! Woohooo!!! |
Always happy to be an enabler. :D
So what are you going to do with them? |
Well, with the reds, I want to make that toile Les Femmes Rouge. I haven't decided what to do with the blues yet, but I'm thinking of a delt tiles.

Yeah, Pam, sorry for the 'jack. When I was in Europe, if I couldn't find a word in one language (French/Italian/Spanish) I would try the word I did know in one of the other languages, and could (usually! lol) make myself understood.
Mais, j'ai oublie tous les conjugations et beaucoup des mots, parce que personne ne parle pas francais ici! |
