i think it looks great love the colors

Aubrey'sQuiltingCreations 01-17-2012 12:57 PM

I really love the sharp contrast of the two colors put together. I wonder at times too but wait until the whole quilt is put together as this is when everything balances out.

BLAP 01-17-2012 01:33 PM

I really love the colors.

Jammin' Jane 01-17-2012 01:50 PM

Keep going! I think it looks great!! :)

Mariposa 01-17-2012 01:59 PM

Great contrast in the fabrics, and the darker one is very pretty!

shnnn 01-17-2012 02:08 PM

I love it! and I think once you get it together with the rest of them it will be even prettier.

Tartan 01-17-2012 02:17 PM

I really like the strong contrast. It lets you see the Greek Key design very well. I bet it's going to look awesome all put together!

jillaine 01-17-2012 02:24 PM

hate to go against the current (actually, I love going against the current). In this case, I think the contrast is too strong. But that's me.

I think you have to ask yourself: will you really like it when it's done. What one person loves, another may not be satisfied with at all.

lfstamper 01-17-2012 02:26 PM

I agree with jillaine - but quilted feathers in the light space could make all the difference. The colored fabric is beautiful.

hheelleenn 01-17-2012 02:29 PM

Stitch in the ditch with gold metallic thread.

Quiltngolfer 01-17-2012 02:50 PM

I like the high contrast. It will be a pretty quilt.

Peggy Jeanne 01-17-2012 04:15 PM

I think your colors are very pretty!

sandybuttons 01-17-2012 04:25 PM

I love the colors :)

patsynel 01-18-2012 05:00 AM

I like the contrast in your colors and will be looking forward to seeing the quilt when finished. Keep at it.

gsbuffalo 01-18-2012 05:06 AM

oh yea they looked great.

DebbE 01-18-2012 06:02 AM

I really like it. But I wouldn't join all the blocks till you're done. You may want to play around with it and end up with an underlaying second design by laying out the blocks differently. That's one of the things I love about quilting! Great job!

blueangel 01-18-2012 08:52 AM

I like the colors.

cuppi duke 01-18-2012 08:55 AM

I really like it. Really clean and crisp looking

Challys 01-18-2012 12:22 PM

Really like it Sega! Can't wait to see it done.

KimS 01-18-2012 02:11 PM

I think your fabric choice is very nice. My vote is to keep going but if you don't like it then you need to do something different. You'll never be happy with it.

mtkoldra 01-18-2012 04:09 PM

looks great

I agree, sometimes it takes the completed top to really see how the colors come together. There is a gorgeous dark in the focus fabric that would be a great color to pull out for part of a border. Oooohhh! I can't wait to see this when it is done. Don't worry about the colors yet - just keep going and it will all come together (beautifully from the looks of your photo!) :)

ging10ging 01-18-2012 04:23 PM

I think it is a great combination the way it is. Sue

Pieces2 01-19-2012 05:10 AM

I agree with you. I don't like this color combination either. The light color is too light.

I agree with jillaine and with you. (That also applies to my tendency of swimming against the current.) I think you should select a color from the awesome base fabric and then find a brighter version of this colour.
This is just the opinion of a newbie to quilting.

so-sew 01-19-2012 06:39 AM

Looks good to me. I'm a fan of neutrals, so I'd say keep up the good work.

cbridges22 01-19-2012 06:42 AM

I like strong contrast!

GiGi 01-19-2012 07:07 AM

The beige jumps out over the other color. If that is what you are intending then you chose correctly; if not you will need to try something else. However, the pattern is very cool. Tks. G

#1piecemaker 01-19-2012 07:10 AM

I like the strong contrast you get with these two fabrics. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I think it will be stunning. Reminds me of a maze!!!

stitchinwitch 01-19-2012 07:18 AM

Colour Combo

I think it will be absolutely beautiful when it is finished. The gold fabric is stunning & I also agree with the member who suggested you quilt with gold thread. I think it will "pop" your colour combo. Never fear it will be gorgeous.

Lori S 01-19-2012 08:03 AM

I respect your ability to cut into that fabulous "Jewels of India" fabric . I have to agree with some of the others that the strong contrast in combination with the strong geometric pattern , is too much for the fabulous background fabric.

vickig626 01-19-2012 08:06 AM

The colors look great together.

WMUTeach 01-19-2012 08:08 AM

What not to like? It is clean and sharp. Keep going.
