These are not very good pictures, but you were all so kind about my Dresden I thought I would show you what my second quilt was. It's in Missouri with my Grandson, so I can't get any better pictures. His bedroom is done in the poker motif -- headboard is A, K, Q, J, etc. His mirror is surrounded by the Roulette wheel pattern so this pattern, to me, reminded me of playing chips for the poker games. And he wanted Red, Black, and White. Thanks for looking! This is the Amish Wedding Ring pattern.....first lesson in "Y" seams. Whew!!! I just did some outline quilting on this one.

Grandson enjoying the Quilt!

Yes, that's why I said they were terrible pictures. The light from the window wasn't helping the camera very much....I'm not a great photographer!

No, honest! lol I actually stopped work on my Dresden quilt for a few months to make this one in time for DGS (is that right?) birthday.

Thank you all for your very nice comments. I don't know which makes me happier...working on my quilt....or coming to see all the beautiful work being done by all of you. I tell you, it's totally inspiring and I'm so glad I found you all!!!

Sheila

I got it from "Leisure Arts Presents the "Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns", 101 All-time favorites produced by Oxmoor House. They have a website at oxmoorhouse.com. I purchased the book at Jo-Ann's. The credit for the photo of the quilt was for "Quilt by Linda Carlson, Mexico, Missouri". There are 101 fabulous quilt patterns in that book! Thanks again for all the kind words! :)

Judi love the quilt. You sure are adventuresome, a difficult patter for a second quilt. Your grandson looks like he is enjoying it too.

nellebelles 02-06-2010 01:59 AM

I can't wait to see what you'll do next! Such a beautiful quilt, and a very good looking grandson, too!
