Wow....this is wonderful. I have the same panel and had changed my mind several times as to how to use it. How many panels did it take to make your quilt?

Yes I did stack the layers together and cut all of them together at one time. I did not use the freezer paper to cut, I used a 45 degree template that I bout at Jo Ann's as that would result in more accurate cuts.

I used 8 panels as I cut octagons

Thanks, I might look up the contest rules. I'm going to be gone for a week or more, so don't know if it will work out. I'm going to Road to CA show and take a class. Very excited.
