Those are gorgeous colors and I'm excited to see the completed quilt!

A 1/4" foot can make a huge difference in accuracy. If the blocks came out too big, you may be able to sneak slightli wider seams in, depending on th pattern. Also, squaring the block up after each set of light side and dark side strips lets you assure they all come out pretty close.

Thanks Moonpi, I think I will try to square them off like you suggested, but if it doesn't pan out, I will probably just do the blocks again, now that I have the hang of it :D

I love log cabins! I have done several. Strip piecing is a must w/ them. Love the colors! Good Luck.

I love the pinks you're using. You know, if the blocks aren't way out of conformity in size, sometimes you can ease them together and they'll work ok. If you put the bigger block on the bottom when you sew, they may work out ok. Something about the feed dogs feeding the fabric a little faster might ease some of the disparity in size. Good luck.
