Looks like those "crumby" blocks are going to make a gorgeous quilt!!
What a great idea!

Happy Treadler 10-11-2011 06:37 AM

Hey Ms Grace, wouldn't it be cool to use up even MORE of our scraps and do the sashing like this??: http://www.clotilde.com/detail.html?...source=CQEDOTD Think it would look pretty neat to add the pop of color around the plain background. :) I'm gettin' into this project...

justsojanie 10-11-2011 06:40 AM

A great idea!!!! Thanks for posting. Even though I'm a 'beginner' and just making practice blocks, I've already got a box full of scraps!!

Great idea. I only ever get strips or odd pieces going together but your star is super.

MargeD 10-11-2011 01:42 PM

I'd say that's a great idea and the eight-pointed star is one of my favorite blocks to make. Very nice block.

I love the scrapy look of it. Great colors.

QM 10-12-2011 01:13 AM

I love it. BTW, I do exactly the same thing when I just feel like semi-mindless sewing. I've also made both sawtooth star and friendship star using crumb units for the foreground.
