Wow! That was nice of her to give these strips to you. Those would make some really cute scrappy quilts.

PaperPrincess 06-04-2011 11:57 AM

Wow, and they are already cut!!!!

Essiescott 06-04-2011 12:01 PM

Wow that is bunches. I don't even have that much in my whole yard stash. I would love to be blessed by something like that. I can see log cabin, braids, strip quilt. Boy oh boy you have loads of sewing to get going on. Good thing half of your work is done, by the strips being cut.

KiwiQuilter 06-04-2011 01:19 PM

Fantastic. Gosh you are going to be busy.

KarenK 06-04-2011 01:22 PM

Jennifer22206 06-04-2011 05:37 PM

Wow. I hope my daughter grows into the kind and generous daughter yours seems to be! Actually, I just hope my daughter wants to quilt. :) That's awesome that you get to share quilting supplies!

Marion T 06-04-2011 05:44 PM

Well, one woman's strip is another woman's quilt! What a nice daughter. You can never have too many strips.

sisLH 06-04-2011 06:01 PM

That's how I feel with yarn and fabric. Do I need more? No! Will I get excited if I run into some great deal? YES, YES!

BETTY62 06-04-2011 09:48 PM

Wow. Those strips all look the same width. How nice.

Pickles 06-04-2011 09:58 PM

Wow you are so lucky , what a sweet daughter you have to give you beautiful strips and cut up already on top of that.
I have only one Daughter and she doesn't even get into sewing of any kind, I so wish she would, but I don't see it happening in my lifetime anyways.Have fun with all your strips :-D

leiladylei54 06-04-2011 10:04 PM

Wow, lucky you!!! I'm envious!!!

natalieg 06-04-2011 10:06 PM

Something new always makes our wheels turn in our heads. The minute I get a new quilt magazine, I run to the sewing room and start pulling fabrics for one of the patterns, only to go back a few days later and put the fabrics back up so that I can finish the one I am currently working on!

craftybear 06-04-2011 10:16 PM

Wow, have fun!

What about making one of the quilts a gal on here was talking about. Just keep sewing strips together until you get a bunch. Then place ends together and sew, cut bottom and put ends together and sew, then cut bottom.

She had a better explaination.

Sounds like it would be fun at least once.

Sewfine 06-05-2011 03:03 AM

Wow! that is a lot.

bebe 06-05-2011 03:04 AM

sell strip packs and we will buy!!!!!

annieshane 06-05-2011 03:26 AM

This is a NICE gift. I can see many quilts on the way! Can never have too much fabrics.

piepatch 06-05-2011 03:44 AM

Nope, you are not crazy. New fabric is supposed to make us all excited, no matter how much we already have :)

DanaNVa 06-05-2011 04:41 AM

A basket made using clothesline and the strips comes to mind.

jeannie t 06-05-2011 04:42 AM
