Oh my, oh my, oh my!!!
 

An old friend of mine dropped in on me half an hour ago. She had been to Goodwill and brought me 4 large 12" square bags of fabrics!! Many are of the 30's/Civil War type print - my favorite but no way she could have known that!
Each bundle has about 40 pieces many of which are 42+" by 1/2 yard! Some bigger, some smaller!! Most are cotton with a few flannels.

Just when I was pleased about having done enough samplers to cut my little stash down! *Sigh*

Am I complaining? Finally got her to agree to allow me to present her and hubby with one - or more! I have no more walls or family that is un-quilted! Of course she insisted upon buying the batting and backing but so far my declining that has held! I should do 2 lap quilts as so many of the fabric would be so nice for a masculine quilt.

Funny story. I would on occasion drop material off at a local thrift shop. One day at work I found a package at my desk from a friend. It was, yes, the fabric I had dropped off. Haha. Aren't friends great!
