Fleece will stretch and scoot even under a walking foot. I think the ladies were right when they suggested to tie it. That way the softness of the fleece would remain and you would have more fluidity and a nice drape to the whole quilt. Your quilt is lovely.

I agree with some of the rest. Probably tieing would be good.
