Mine looked like this a week ago. I was able to bring in some shelves and get a few things organized.

kisstink 11-08-2011 09:36 PM

looks like my mil table lol ..but the flyer should be in ur hand and u should be on ur way to that sale,,,,

IrelandDragonQuilting 11-08-2011 09:43 PM

Hey how did you get a photo of mine? LOL Mine got cleared off this weekend and before I left this morning, it was back to the same thing!

Mandie 11-08-2011 10:03 PM

SO funny mine looks just like that!

GreatStarter 11-08-2011 10:05 PM

Um, well mine is actually higher. I can't ever use it because it gets stacked up so high as soon as I clear it off. If only dh would take his junk out of my craft room....guess that is just a dream.

Embarrassed,
Kat

SueDor 11-09-2011 03:24 AM

Are you sure that's not my sewing table?

Cattyqwltr 11-09-2011 03:27 AM

Mine used to until I got an 8ft table - now the stuff just accumulates underneath it all. LOL

weatheread 11-09-2011 03:59 AM

Mine looks like that too I have to do a moving and cleaning job every time I cut something out I have a building for my sewing The kids call it Nana's Play House .When I clean the whole room that means I am mad at something or someone

jitkaau 11-09-2011 04:05 AM

Whose doesn't look like that?(At least once in its life).

Tweety2911 11-09-2011 04:07 AM

Shows you are a serious quilter! Looks normal to me as well:-)

QuiltingHaven 11-09-2011 04:10 AM

Oh yea....looks very familiar. Are you sure you weren't in my sewing room overnight???????

Yooper32 11-09-2011 04:12 AM

That sort of resembles my whole apartment right now. I just looked around this morning and asked myself why I let things get to this drastic a mess????

catladyquilts 11-09-2011 05:02 AM

and your point is? I thought this was normal, now you make me feel guilty

Michellesews 11-09-2011 05:04 AM

'Tis the season...I have thought about "spreading out" myself, and have been meaning to organize and put away all week to make cutting those flying geese easier, but alas, mine looks worse than that! I just shove it out of the way and then wonder why I can't find my rulers or whatever, usually it is under a pile. I would LOVE to be organized and neat, and I have tried...really I have...but I need educating I guess.

Mona Marie 11-09-2011 05:18 AM

Looks just like mine!! I thought mine only got like that! LOL

judi43 11-09-2011 05:25 AM

I thought you snapped a picture of my cutting table, LOL

homecaregiver 11-09-2011 05:41 AM

well mine does not look quite like this because I have a quilt on it that I am basting, just wait a few days and I may just beat you on looks.

Pat

SandScraps 11-09-2011 06:28 AM

For a moment I thought you'd snuck into my sewing room. Very familiar scene. Sad part? The camera does not lie. Ever!

igorsews 11-09-2011 06:38 AM

...and... I don't see anything unusual...

Debby54 11-09-2011 06:39 AM

Mine looked worse than that until late last night. Spent the entire day cleaning, reorganizing and such in my room. Sure glad I did and you will too when you get in there

blondeslave 11-09-2011 06:41 AM

Yep, looks just like both the small cutting table in the office and the big cutting table in the spare bedroom.

You have built-in exercise with that arrangement!

I like this one!

nativetexan 11-09-2011 06:47 AM

Honey i have a nine foot door for my cutting table and it's only clear in a small space to cut anything. i tend to pile fabric up on one end and have some books on the other. i clean it but it only gets full again!

kriscraft99 11-09-2011 06:55 AM

isn't that the truth! my dining room table, counter tops... everywhere I look that is flat, there are stacks!! even in the floors in some parts, on top of the dryer, etc...

Sorry to say, it looks very familiar. You know how it is with horizontal surfaces.

unclefreckles 11-09-2011 07:11 AM

Yeah, I know what you mean. somehow it just multiplies like rabbits. I think sometimes I have a somewhat evil elf that visits at night and creates all this mess!!!

Yeah...I'm not alone :)

SandyinZ4 11-09-2011 07:16 AM

You are not alone it seems. I have two cutting mats on my table and can only utilize about 3/4th of one. The space just keeps shrinking. But I am still having fun so that is what counts to me.

Stitchit123 11-09-2011 07:42 AM

A word of advice DON'T clean it off it will only lead to more cleaning and straightening-and before you know it the whole house has gotten a complete shake down and then you're to tired to sew..I asked my DB to make me a 2nd cutting table to prevent this misuse of my time in the future.I'm hoping this will work

Grinster 11-09-2011 08:26 AM

This is not encouraging as I hate my messy table (s), I think mine isn't so bad...................I started to sort my colors last night and after a half hour I was exhausted!

ChrisB 11-09-2011 08:29 AM

Ummm, yes!! I keep wanting to take pictures of my sewing room but NEVER is it clean and organized enough. I just can't sew in a clean room. One of these days, I WILL get that picture.

lovequilting2 11-09-2011 08:31 AM

HAHAHAHA, mine looks just as bad. I haven't seen mine in so long that the things on the bottom are crying out for air!!!

coralee 11-09-2011 08:41 AM

mine is always a wreck :( I clean it off organize, then I get inspired and wreck it again.....I feel its a never ending battle, not only am I add, but my many many hobbies are cramed into a room that is busting at the seams, I am just a spoiled girl who pretty much gets what she wants thanks to my DH.....so I am really NOT complaining LOL

quiltsRfun 11-09-2011 08:51 AM

Yes, mine looks like that. It's seems Murphy's law is at work on my cutting table. Any available space is immediately filled with patterns, works in progress, new fabric (still in bags), tops waiting to be quilted, etc. I clean it off occasionally but it doesn't take long before it's overloaded again.

ditto - put it in your purse! lol

longerarmer 11-09-2011 09:07 AM

It looks like my table

0tis 11-09-2011 09:07 AM

Sadly, my sewing room looks like a tornado hit it - I have been working on many things for a craft sale. I would just toss my fabric back onto the pile as I finished - now my pile is overwhelming - I better get back to work.

kathy6696 11-09-2011 02:25 PM

Sometimes it looks just like that, then I clean it up and start again....lol.

Vivian Ketron 11-09-2011 03:44 PM

Looks like my dining room table. I have my sewing machine in the dining room. How does that happen anyway. lol
