My camera snapped this picture today and I didn't realize it until I went in to edit photos. (I think somebody is trying to tell me something)

Does anyone else's cutting table look like this?? I have stacks shoulder high - ughhhhhhhh...... I've moved into the dining room to work until I can get it cleared.

luvTooQuilt 11-08-2011 11:29 AM

Hahahahah i can SOOOOOOO relate.. Ive been cleaning up my sewing room on and off for the last 3 days...

Its the scraps- they multiply overnight like dust bunnies!!!!

TiltedEars 11-08-2011 11:35 AM

If it was clean, I'd wonder if you had been busy... When I see a work space like this, I know you've been busy!

mandyk 11-08-2011 11:36 AM

If it's clean, then I am no longer quilting!

Bueniebabe 11-08-2011 11:46 AM

I don't have a sewing room. Sewing machine on kitchen table, cutting mat on my freezer in basement, ironing board in the bathroom and tubs of fabric in just about every room.

QuiltnNan 11-08-2011 12:23 PM

looks normal to me :)

dltaylor 11-08-2011 12:25 PM

That's what my dinning room table and living room table looks like every, single day!! But there is hope!! The kids are getting an apartment together and will be leaving the house on Friday!! So, I get to change one of the rooms into my sewing room.

mighty 11-08-2011 12:30 PM

Looks normal to me!!!

katsewnsew 11-08-2011 12:33 PM

Only problem I see with it is that flyer should be in your purse!!!

fien777 11-08-2011 12:41 PM

I'm working on my diningtable all the time.....and you know what????
It's looking similar to your cuttingtable!!!

pstrwife 11-08-2011 12:41 PM

I thought it was my cutting table. lol

mary quilting 11-08-2011 12:47 PM

mines just as bad

Yosamitesa 11-08-2011 12:47 PM

LOL!!! I guess I'm the neat freak, or the fact that I have a 21 month old who gets into everything, but I have everything organized and stashed away when I'm not working on it. Lil fingers...

Doreen 11-08-2011 12:50 PM

I don't take pics in my sewing room. It might scare me!

Donna Bates 11-08-2011 12:50 PM

I give up, something's wrong with this picture?! I did learn something reading this thread: aux fabric storage in the tub.

jc469273 11-08-2011 12:55 PM

Seems like you have an attack table like mine. It attacks everything that passes by:)

suzm 11-08-2011 01:06 PM

Yay, I'm not the only one who has to clean occ the cuttig table!!

jaciqltznok 11-08-2011 01:13 PM

that was the weird thing - I didn't mean to take this picture, it just appeared when I was looking through my camera card today - I think somebody is trying to tell me something.

yes, you are right - great observation! I try to keep the flyers in my car but this one came in with my last bag of fabrics from Hancocks last week.

Looks normal to me. My dining room table, sewing room, living room corner, etc all look like that. I have my sewing machine set up on my ironing board in the living room, but even it is starting to get cluttered. I guess I better start cleaning. LOL

JOMARIE 11-08-2011 01:28 PM

My bed is in my sewingroom Hard to go to bed when it looks like that. LOL

valsma 11-08-2011 01:33 PM

I have a huge cutting table my husband made out of a full sheet of marine plywood, sometimes at least half of it will look like that. I try to keep the other half for cutting, ironing and peicing when needed. From time to time I will go clean it off and stack things nicely on one end or put the other stuff away where it is suppose to be.
Seems to me that is the cutting table of somene who is not just stashing fabric but using it.

Maybe1day 11-08-2011 02:02 PM

Sorry, no mine doesn't. I couldn't cut anything if it does as I would have no room for fabric

Maybe1day

lfstamper 11-08-2011 02:05 PM

It's those darn fabric magnets that collect everything...lol. Good luck on clearing it all.

CorgiNole 11-08-2011 02:44 PM

I can relate too. I think what is slowing me down right now is having to move stacks to reach my stuff.

I do like the Hancock's flyer on the top of your stack.

Cheers, K

Nettie Phillips 11-08-2011 04:17 PM

At least you have a cutting table. I have to use my kitchen table. Since you are the one that uses it I am sure you
know where everything is. I wouldn't worry about.

beatys9 11-08-2011 04:28 PM

Cutting table?! LOL. I can relate, except, this is what my dining room table looks like half the time... so I have plans to make a sewing room in the basement. In the meantime, I have taken over another room with fabric so we can sit at the dining room table again :)

hperttula123 11-08-2011 04:35 PM

lol...mine looks like that most of the time. I just had to clean mine off the other day.

johanka 11-08-2011 04:37 PM

Looks like home to me. I also have to work on the dinning room table. I do have to clean it off once every six weeks because my husband has a card party and needs the table. Oh well such is life.

eelsner2461 11-08-2011 04:37 PM

Looks alot like my dining table too

decky 11-08-2011 04:45 PM

Mine use to look like that, but I made a promise to myself to clean up after each project is completed.

moonwolf47 11-08-2011 05:42 PM

Add a little more stuff on top of what you have and your cutting table will look like mine lol

Jingle 11-08-2011 07:21 PM

One end of the long countertop I have in my sewing room looks like that most of the time. I mainly cut things on my glass topped dining table. Rest of the room has leftover fabric stacked around. I will clean up and put away as soon as I finish binding this quilt.

grandmajuki 11-08-2011 07:33 PM

I try to keep my table clean and the minute I get it clean and start working on something else looks just like yours!!! I'm trying to have project drawers because I find I leave my projects on the table and trying to keep it clean ...doesn't always work!!
judy

Luv2sew4fun 11-08-2011 07:33 PM

Yes!! Mine looks like that now. haha and I am working on a new quilt...... hehe

MaryAnnMc 11-08-2011 07:35 PM

Sorry to say, it looks very familiar. You know how it is with horizontal surfaces.

smcfadden 11-08-2011 07:37 PM

Wow! I thought that photo came from MY sewing room!

littlehud 11-08-2011 07:43 PM

It looks so familiar. Just like my dining room table. Who needs to eat anyway. LOL
