Just finished this quilt top yesterday. It's from quilt book, "quilts, bib, blankies...oh, my!" by Kim Schaefer. I saw the quilt hanging in a quilt shop in Columbus OH several years ago, and just had to get the book. I machine appliqued the animals onto 12.5" block (it's bigger than I remember!) So now I have to quilt it...Enjoy! and thanks for looking...

Makes me remember when my now 43 year old niece was little and I made her a stuffed blue elephant. She said, "I have never seen a blue elephant" and she never would play with it. She has laughed about it so many times since. She had it in her young mind all elephants had to be gray, even if it was a toy one. |
