Guess what I got in the mail? 3 very beautiful postcards from my friends in the beautiful country of Spain. When I opened the mailbox Monday, the sunshine was radiating from the mail. What an incredible kind surprise! You guys rock - the culprits are Izy, Elle, and Kath. The vast creative abilities of your group are incredible :):):) Thank you from the not so warm state of Montana... My pictures absolutely do not do justice to the vibrant and rich colors of the postcards. I'm tellin' ya... the sunshine radiating off of these makes it hard to photograph them :):)

Oh my, everytime I look at the postcards I'm amazed at all the beautiful details. Those naughty ladies are amazing! :D Please tell me you're planning to put them up in your sewing area so you can see it all the time!

WOW WOW and double WOW!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

LOVE those - gotta try them - right - you make your little 'top' right? Pieced!, appliqué!, embroidery!, embellishments! Oh what fun! Then you do your quilting on double fusible whatsit, then you put a plain cotton backing and write your msg with fabric pen? or I guess you could embroider? Then you finish off the edge with the machine? Am I close?

This is knicker - wettingly exciting!!! Reaching for the tena lady! :lol:

K, I used double fusible 'timtex' which is quite stiff, but you can still get the quilted effect, just build up your background, add applique, then embellish, then I just fused plain white cotton to the back, trim up nice and neat, satin stitch the edge, then use a pigma pen to right your message on the back tah dah!!

Now I see them again, I want to make more, I really enjoyed making these :D

Hey, I'm right there with you! I don't have a LQS here. I rely mostly on Ben Franklin and what little they have. If I need anything special, I have to order it or I have my "personal shopper" get it for me. :)
