We did it. My mom and I made 100 pillowcases, with some help of my 14 yr old daughter. We make a great team!!! Oh...I didn't mention that that's all we did almost all weekend(I'm counting Friday in with it too). We didn't cook, clean, we ordered pizzas, and assembly line put these babies together.

This is how much space they all take up.

WOW! It just goes to show what Desire and Determination can accomplish. Which one were you? LOL Beautiful job! I recognize several of the same fabrics that are in my own stash. Are these for charity or Christmas gifts?

You posted earlier that these were for a craft fair, right? I am curious... how much do you get for each one?

merrylouw 11-28-2010 06:13 PM

Awesome!!! Well done, ladies. What price are you planning on, if you don't mind me asking?

donnaree59 11-28-2010 06:14 PM

Oh wow! Can I borrow you and your mom just for one short weekend? You must have come up with some sort of system to get this much done. They are beautiful! What an accomplishment.

We checked on etsy for prices and people are selling theirs for between $18-$20 for the nice ones. We did the tube method on these and they are sewed and serged. So I'm thinking we are going to price them for about $15. If they don't go at the craft sale, we'll just put them on etsy....lol...and if they don't go on there, I know what everyone will be getting for christmas next year. :) It was just fun to make them. We really didn't plan on making that many when we started cuttin up our fabric.

If you were closer, we would have had you come over and help too...lol. We could have gotten it done alot quicker. Thanks....we didn't even make a dent in our fabric too. That's over 100 yards of fabric used on them. :)

Jabear617 11-28-2010 06:37 PM

Wow! Those look wonderful! I only have made 3 pillow cases and I know how much work those were. You did a fantastic job!

Thanks, I'm just glad my family can work together. We always "mass produce" like this. This summer, mu mom wanted to make wooden cars, so My mom and I were each on a scroll saw and we had my oldest staining. Same thing, when we made candles....pretty much everything we do, we over make like this.

Evelynquilts 11-28-2010 06:48 PM

Lori Peercy 11-28-2010 08:15 PM

That price of $15 is that for a pair or per pillowcase?

I checked on etsy for what others sell theirs for and I found alot of them that are almost $20 per pillowcase. I'm gonna keep on looking and find out what others are selling theirs for before I give it a for sure price.

Lori Peercy 11-28-2010 08:24 PM

Thanks. I seen the tute on youtube. It's alot of fun. Well....maybe after you get done pinning the 75 pillowcase together, it does get a little old, but we had fun together.
