Oine(Pine) Cone in Flight

Don't you just hate it when you make a spelling mistake in the title....and can't change it!!!!
Pine Cone in Flight! This image caught my eye a while ago and I finally found the time to play with it. I had considered anchoring it to a branch but both hubby and I decided we liked it " in flight ". Roughly 18" and currently unbound. Painted over raw applique then machine sketched. |
I like it " in flight "also! Very cute!
It is perfect as it is, in flight.
Cool pine cone!
That's awesome!
(I admit that I clicked on the thread mostly to find out what an oine cone was!) |
Another stunning quilt! (Isn't that just the Canadian spelling?)
i love it In Flight!

Truly beautiful! Love it just the way it is. I wondered what "Oine Cone" meant! Duh! Anyway, several years ago I appliquéd a pine cone for the center of a medallion quilt; I really have a fondness for pine cones!
another spectacular quilt
Another amazing piece of work.
That is awesome ...... you and your hubby were right, it looks good in flight.

I always look at your pictures but must admit the title really intrigued me this time! LOL This is a real beauty. One of a kind work of art.

That's okay! It keeps people guessing and curios! Very interesting pine cone. Your quilt gets me thinking. Thinking about winter, peaceful in a lonely way. Just one...falling. I like it. I agree with you and hubby. Nice work.
Awesome. I hate autocorrect.
I love this! It's absolute art!

Wish I was half as talented. Love it and your gorgeous stitching.
When I opened your post I was blown away.
I never would have thought to try to reproduce a pine cone in fabric, but you have captured the texture, colours and all the strange angles perfectly. To recreate a 3d object so well shows the depth of your talent. |
I really like this....and all your work(envy is not something we should have...but I do envy your work). I wish you could go into more detail about your process. I sit in awe looking at your work and wondering how it is accomplished.

I like it! Are you going to border it with flying geese? (Sorry couldn't resist)
Nice art in flight.
