Very well organized and what a beautiful array of fabric. I love the idea of the little baskets too. You are right, you deserve it.

Yes you do! If you think it's too much and have a solution to fixing it then you solved the problem, so technically there is no problem LoL

Beautiful fabrics by the way

SuziC 03-26-2011 03:55 PM

SewMomma66 03-26-2011 04:03 PM

I love the way you used the (matching) baskets to store your smaller pieces in front of each shelf. Very good use of space still allowing you to see what is behind.

I'm so jealous

Jan,
You're so right...it is out of control. I'm ashamed to admit it, but this is not all of it by a long shot. This doesn't include any of my flannels, home dec fabrics, Thimbleberries collections or Civil War and 30's repros. Having to organize it all was just the thing to make me realize that I simply have way too much. I'm going to be having a heck of a garage sale in May, and I will be making lots of quilters very happy, I think. It's better than many addictions, but I am taking this pretty seriously. :-)

Wow, I am sooooo jealous. Hope you are going to let us shop some of your stash here! Please, please I would definitely love to buy some! I promise I will give it a good home. LOL

nativetexan 03-26-2011 06:16 PM

and i thought i was bad!!!

CindyinNY 03-26-2011 06:24 PM

WOW! As a beginner,I am green with envy! Not only of your stash but your orginazional skills as well!! Love the way you have it all neatly on the shelves.
I too hope you let us in on your sale. Although I always seem to be too late getting to the sale items here.

asmmauer 03-26-2011 06:28 PM

wow love that stash.

luvTooQuilt 03-26-2011 06:29 PM

So what are your shop hours?? and is there a bargain day?? If so IM THERE !!!!

Harmony 03-26-2011 06:32 PM

If I could pull fabrics from you stash, I would never had to walk into another quilt store! You have them arranged so prettily--makes me drool!

ladyredhawk 03-26-2011 07:01 PM

do you make quilts or just collect material? I have alot of scraps and I like to quilt with yards of material to start with. If you lived closer to me I could come over and shop at your house.

Looks beautiful, thats what I'm in the process of doing too, I bought the comic book boards to wrap my fabric on and I have those little baskets too from the dollar store with fat quarters in them. What I have to tell you though, after looking at your stash...you really need to go out and buy some more dark green!! :-) LOL

bdship 03-26-2011 09:17 PM

I've just loved reading everyone's responses to this. I'm feeling slightly less like I need a psychiatrist's intervention! Yes, I adore purple, pink, teal, green....notice I have very little red, orange or yellow!

Dee G 03-27-2011 03:12 AM

Wow! What a beautiful sight!!!

sherrielynn 03-27-2011 03:16 AM

Wow! the fabric is great but I am jealous of your organization. It must have taken days.

Sherrie

qwkslver 03-27-2011 03:30 AM

That is awesome and you won't be at the mercy of the cotton prices going up and up (for a while at least).

Sherrie,
This has taken me the better part of 2 weeks. It's so hard to be around all that fabric and not sew anything! I still have lots to do, but seeing it now keeps me inspired to keep going.

Yooper32 03-27-2011 03:32 AM

I do believe that I have seen quilt shops with less fabric, LOL. All I can say is, "what a stash".
