This is a quickie quilt using what I had on hand..It is for my cousin who just had a baby boy...They are real big in rodeo and horses...I was going to do all boots and hats but just don't have time..Does this look OK are should I just discard it and do something else? Also do I dare try and free motion quilt this or hand quilt?? I have only free motion on small things?? Thanks

very cute, thanks for sharing with us

I think it's adorable and they will love it!

This is adorable! If time is an issue, try the machine quilting. They will love it!
Dianne, That is so cute! I have some cowboy pattern similar. I was wonder what to do with it. Now I know! Thanks for sharing your pictures. You did a great job.
This is perfect for a little buckaroo! I think you could get away with STID, but if you want to try you might do some free motion inside the hats and boots. You could also use just big loops that look like, if you can figure out what that means!
I think it's as cute as can be ... :D
I think its perfect a little boy. Good job
I think it's adorable!
It`s adorable just as it is !!!
So cute! I love that retro cowboy kid print.
You did great. SID or overall meander would work fine. Your meander could look like roping if you get teh right moves going. Good job.
It's a beautiful quilt! Perfect for the cowboy-inclined.
Since you stated that it was a "quickie" quilt and mentioned that you didn't have time to do all hats and boots, I would fmq it. You did a great job btw, I love it.
I love it !!!!
very cute
That's really a quit quilt
I think it's adorable!! :)
That is wonderful. Don't you dare discard it. It's perfect. Personally I would FMQ. I just finished my first one and once I got past my fears and just dove in, I loved it. I just felt such freedom. That's not to say I didn't make many mistakes but, we can only get better, right? Go for it. The family will love it no matter how you quilt it.
why laugh? you did great! Its soo cute.
Cute quilt
Hi Diane, I think your quilt is adorable. I would try to FMQ the trick is to spray baste it and you should do fine. I hesitate to FMQ anything bigger than a dq too...but teh 505 spray is a dream and works really well!
Love it.
It is so cute. Please don't discard it.
too cute
It's adorable. I'd FMQ it since it will be dragged around, washed often, and Lord knows what else in it's lifetime.

I think it's perfect! As for the quilting, I'd have to go with FMQ since I'm so slow with hand quilting.
I like it!! Just do stitch in the ditch outlining and staying on the seams, and it'll be fine.
Why in the world would you discard it? I think it is super cute!
If you are comfortable with FMQ then go for it! It is really cute! |
I would love to receive this as a gift. It's a adorable.
