Read it carefully, the cutting directions are spread out all over the place. Also, one thing I am going to do differently is I am not going to piece all the strips together then cut for the borders. It's like 1000 inches. I can't stand long binding strips, so that would be 3x as long. I used yardage for the white and cut my strips lengthwise so that I don't have to piece all of them.

So my mission lately is use some of my old fabric colors, without buying anymore fabric. This is what I came up, three fabrics are from the 90's only the white is current Moda. I also was inspired by the pattern CJTinkle did recently.

Lol this is what I get for not reading the pattern. I pieced my border with squares and not by the strip. This was my first quilt with a pieced border and backing. So I was hesitant not to do the pieced border, but I'm so glad I did. I was only off by 1/8", well worth the pieced border. I love the look!

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Beautiful quilt and so glad to hear you are using up old fabric and destashing your supply. Isn't it a great feeling when you create something new from something old. Great job and keep going on using up the old to create another work of art!

Nicely done. It is great to look back and see where you have been with your colour selection and designing. Quilts are a good way to show one's own development through time and availability of pattern and colours.
