I love the antique look. When I see quilts and tops in antique stores, it makes me melancholy. I imagine some dear lady creating her art and no one in the family to cherish it. I'm sure whoever made the original top would love your remake.

Someone just gave me 19 of the Dresden squares done in the same type of fabrics....most of them also have the blanket stitch around the "plate" and the circle....I have been wondering what to do....I just LOVE what you did....can't wait to see it quilted!!! You have given me a reason to get going on the project...plan to put it on our guest room bed...a double size. Thank you...thank you...thank you!!!
