I am so glad you were given the quilt and are going to rebind it. It would be nice if it does not have a label if you could
put the information you have on it. Her name, when she was born, where she lived and the date you got it? It is such a great heirloom. I have one that was written about in a newspaper article or I never would have known it's history. |
Glad you're not going to cut it up. It would be a shame to lose a family heirloom like this.

Marcia, Thanks for the link. Did you see the price on that baby? lol
I don't think I want to tackle that pattern |
That is beautiful! Lucky you!!!

A timeless treasure....glad you aren't in the "cut it up brigade". Thanks for sharing your beautiful heirloom.

For the life of me, I can't imagine anyone thinking it would be okay to cut up a piece of family history! So glad you saved this treasure.

Yea! ... for you recognizing a jewel when you see one.
So glad to hear how you're planning on saving it. |
Like Red-Warrior's idea of making a label with the information you know. VERY good!

Oh my .. Cut it up!??!!! I could never bring myself to put a pair of sissors to that beauty. It is certainly in the right home , and re-binding it will help in preserving it for all to admire .
