Big RESPECT for you. What an achievement. I'm trying to be sort of funny here, because after reading your progress with the piecing and cutting, continue in the same way but quilt it a bit then eat chocolate and rest, quilt it a bit more then eat cake and drink tea rest, quilt some more, you get the idea? It is truly amazing well done. I wish you well whatever approach you take and please show us when it's done. It will be Quilt Board "Quilt Of The Week" I am certain.

LOL But by the time I got it quilted I would be so wide that I would need to make another just to cover myself up with VBG.

A portrait in patience with wonderful results.

That is just awesome. Just curious if you know the number of pieces in it.

Let's see if I an calculate them. 237 double nine patch blocks at 49 pieces each would be 11,613; plus 238 shoo fly blocks at 41 pieces each would be 9,758; Oh my gosh is right! 21,371 pieces.

OHMYGOSH I just love this quilt. You have done yourself proud. Did you hand piece or machine piece? I will have to find the pattern for this one for sure.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt.
Pat

It is machine pieced (I would never get it done if I were hand piecing!)

Nope, no border on mine. I do plan to bind it with black fabric to set off the colors.

That is one of the most stunning quilts I have ever seen! Excellent piecing, fantastic color placement. I'm not sure I could put this one on my bucket list, lots and lots of pieces, but it sure is gorgeous!
