Boy, that was a lot of work for one block! I must say that I LOVE this! I totally love the colors and the pattern, even if it is a little difficult. It took careful pressing and deciding which way each seam allowance should go. There is a lot of bulk with some of the blocks, like the center one.
OK, maybe a little obsessive making sure the blocks are exactly the right size. |
Love the block, colors and fabric!

What a beautiful block! You really did a fantastic job on it. Love the colors! I don't think it will be on my list of things to do...
Now that you have the hang of it, the rest should be easy, right? |
Oh yeah... maybe by the time I get to the 11th one it will be easy. :D The 12th, and last, block should be a breeze!

My piecing really improved when I got my Viking Sapphire. The 1/4" setting is 1.8 and I move it one more tick over to 2.0 (scant 1/4).
I do love these fabrics and colors, it makes me think of leather. |

This is stunning. Going to be very interesting to see the whole quilt finished. I am a person who likes bright colours, but am enjoying the earth tones more and more. Just made my mom one with earth colours and blue. Turned out very well.
Good luck and keep us updated. |
