|
Gorgeous!!! :D
|
Fantastic - love the twist you gave it :)
|
Gorgeous, but I would have been reluctant to cut into it, too. You did a beautiful job with it.
|
What did you do and wacky stack on that, looks great!
|
Its just gorgeous! I thought when I saw the original fabric that the resulting hexes would be lots of different colors....they are and I love how you used them...great job on this one, it looks exactly like a reflective pool filled with Koi....Love it!

I absolutely love this. The quilting in the borders is so clever.

It is quite big (65 ins x 56 ins) so it was difficult to get a good photo and I eventually ended up with it on the floor. The fmq "rippling water" in the borders looks light but is actually a variegated blue, and the fabric is darker than the photo shows it. |
picking my jaw off the floor !! This is beautiful.

I NEVER would have thought of using this fabric for a OBW. It turned out beautifully! And your free motion quilting in the borders is perfect!

Thank you all for the lovely comments.
Phyl - have sent you a pm. |

Wow! Your quilt is so beautiful. I love it.

I agree with renee about the border. I'll be glad when I get the chance to learn how to do that. It looks difficult so I anticipate lots of practice first.
|
The inside of your mind must be an amazing place to "see" that quilt from the fabric. How brave you are to cut it up.
Spectacular! |

I did a Convergence quilt by Ricky Tims with that fabric. Not only is that fabric very nice to look at ladies, it is very nice to feel. My Convergence quilt was not put together well because i was still learning but no body was looking beyond and feeling beyond the fabric. if you ladies get a chance to touch it. please do.
Sorry that the quilt is upside down. I used to forget to take pictures of my quilts before I gave them away. I get so excited about giving the gift I forget. This was taken by the receipient so I have no control over anything. |
you did a beautiful job on it, I love the fish swimming away. thank you for sharing. God bless. Penny
