My friend called today and asked if I could fit a baby quilt in. I said of course. Well, this was one amazing quilt. She will be making a sleeve for the option of hanging it. I shudder to think this may be dragged along the floor by some toddler.
Just a note, the feathers under the name will be coming out. I was not happy with those and the batting allowed up to 12" unquilted.

Hope she uses it for a wall hanging in the baby's room. It's too gorgeous & too much work to drag on the floor.

MissTreated 02-17-2010 06:41 PM

That is gorgeous! I do hope they hang it, it wouldn't take much to mess it up forever!

dkabasketlady 02-17-2010 07:34 PM

You are very talented! It IS Beautiful a keepsake for sure.
How long did it take for you to quilt it?

hcarpanini 02-17-2010 07:58 PM

This took me 3 hours to quilt!

bkb 02-17-2010 08:18 PM

Only 3 hours!!!! You must have a LOT of experience! It is a beautiful creation.

Loretta 02-17-2010 08:59 PM

It is beautiful. Should be kept and preserved instead of everyday use by a toddler.

Lisanne 02-17-2010 09:02 PM

That is a charming quilt. But IMO it's either a baby quilt or an art quilt. I suppose they could hang it on a wall in the nursery. Or they could risk using it while the baby is a baby and then put it away when she begins crawling around.

But how very sad that we feel something is too beautiful to actually be used.

LucyInTheSky 02-17-2010 09:39 PM

I like the little flowers under the name. It's a cute way to underline
