One man's trash is another man's treasure

I was given a pile of fabric sample books from someone on Freecycle. Although some of the fabrics were 100% cotton, in general they are very large scale florals and very large scale toiles. In addition to the scale of the prints, because they are fabric samples there were maybe 5 of the same design but in different colors x pages and pages of different designs.
I thought it was a great challenge to find a use for these fabrics and debated how to organize the prints - by color, by theme - etc. I decided to make my first lap quilt using all fussy cut flowers in huge blocks. Each block is 9" square. I'm thinking of this quilt as a "spring" theme since I'm so sick of the snow! I have enough fabric to make a few more like this, but with different flowers and I can make couple of quilts with the toiles too. I am pleased with how it looks and hope you enjoy seeing it.
