Only UFO completed!
 

I swore I would never have a UFO when I started quilting again, because I used to have so many abandoned garment projects. My sister gifted me some of these fabrics for my birthday a few years back, and I added the paisley and the light orange dotted fabric and found the perfect pattern, Urban Matters by Nancy Mahoney. I modified it a bit. I never had so many piecing issues, had to tear out a few seams. Then I puckered my border and had to redo it. I had issues with my thread breading, and when I got a big pucker in it, I tossed it aside. Three years later, I wanted to finish it. I picked out about 2 square feet of the quilting with a pin and finished it, and I'm glad I did.

It's lovely! So bright and fun. I'm a huge fan of paisley, so the border is in my opinion a beautiful and perfect frame. I also give you a LOT of credit for not having UFO's and for picking this one up, taking the time to rip out the problem area and get it done. Not only do I have more UFO's than I should, when a project gets put in time out b/c I'm having difficulties, chances of my going back to it when I've had time away are.. I'll admit it, slim!

Oh my! That is very striking! Your sister has wonderful taste in fabrics and you put them to good use. The deep yellow is just the right compliment to the other prints. With the white stairs/railing and the yellow walls, it looks perfect in your home. Your photo looks like it should be in a magazine.
