It's good to practice on the seam ripper once in awhile! We all need it!
Been there done that.
now I would NEVER have that happen! LOL Ok so maybe once or twice........ or more! Too much funny. Don't you just hate when that happens?
I have done the very same thing! More than once...

Glad to see someone else do this! My seam ripper and I are best friends. Pretty bright colors. It will look great!
thank goodness is was an easy fix. My seam ripper and I are on very close terms... I even have a block I use to make sure all pieces are placed correctly... Sometimes I just need to take a break.....get into the project and not careful enough....anyway, I do like your pattern... looking forward to seeing final project.

Beautiful blocks. Well, most of them. We all do that once in a while. Most often if it's me though.
My grandmother once got a HST block reversed in a quilt with donkey blocks. It was in a most noticeable spot, as it made one donkey a little boy, the rest girls.

Hey, i like them all. made me look close though!!
Using these same block I made the same mistake and di not notice it until I had it all together and the borders on.
You are lucky you caught it early. |
Been there, done that!
LOL! My seam ripper and I are old friends.
been there done that

If we didn't have a sense of humor, we should never start to piece a quilt!!! Thanks for sharing.....made many a block like that!
I have been making star blocks just like these and I ended up with one or two like your different one. That is what seam rippers are for. You are not alone in this.
Hilarious! I did the same thing on a Christmas table runner and didn't notice my backwards star till it was on my DIL's table... ooooops.
Adds interest!! It is funny how we all seem to have that trusty little ripper!!!
Been there...done that too. Your blocks are lovely.
At least it's only ONE block. I usually mess up 3 or 4 before I notice. It's going to be a lovely quilt.
Your reflexes are quick! Good job. What are they going to be a part of?
Good catch. It still would have looked nice even if you hadn't caught the mistake. It probably would have been in the middle and one would assume you did it on purpose.
Whoops! But that blue is a really pretty color!
I did the same thing with the same pattern last night! I stayed up too late I guess. I ripped it apart then went to bed. I really like the colors you used.
Look at you!! Making up new blocks already! No mistakes--only creative opportunities.
Do the Frog Stomp: ripit, ripit ripit!
Love your stars....I have been practicing making them and getting very friendly with my stitch ripper. They tell me it's character building! Please let us see when you're finished...it looks really fresh and pretty.
Beautiful blues. Thank heaven for seam-rippers. Do post your completed quilt so we can enjoy those gorgeous blues.
The Amish always leave an error in their quilt because no one is perfect except God. That would have been my explanation. But like you, if I'd caught it in time I would correct it.
Love the blue. God bless. Penny
You only have one?
I think I have three! |
