Why not do the hearts in a completely different color/fabric/pattern?

How about a little quirk and place the hearts every which way; over a block ditch, upside down, downsite up, sideways, half a heart one way half the other way, etc, etc; have some fun. I love the way it looks now and just try some other placement of the hearts. Be adventureous.

If you don’t have enough to do every white block, I personally would do them randomly with no pattern. I like that look better, but that’s just me. :)

Try just doing the hearts in the outside border squares. I think that would look great.

I think your DH had the best idea and it looks great with the hearts in every light square. Beautiful quilt.

How about random, even if you don't use all the hearts.

Ditto! - Or place just in outer squares...will leave a few hearts left over. Applique them on back of quilt along with label.....just another idea. |
the first one is great. I would use that one.

If you had still enough of the light fabric left I would suggest the following:
In lanes 2 and 3 put light hearts on the dark fabric and dark hearts on the light fabrics. Leave lanes 4 and 5 blank. Repeat the pattern from lanes 2 and 3 in lanes 6 and 7. It's just an alternative. |
