My personal opinion is that the red makes the red pop. The black seems to pull down the colors of red. Guess it is what ever color you are trying to emphasize. Either way will be just beautiful.

That is a very pretty Table Runner. I like the black better than the red.

I would go for the black. As others have said it frames it nicely. Also the red does have the black background and at the end of your red piece of binding the black is what I see. It confused my eyes. No chance of that with the black.

My vote was for the Black. Cannot wait to see finished project
