I agree, that fabric would look really good as a binding.
That fabric would be my first choice, or a similar black & white. Or a red print, same red color as in some of the pinwheel blades, because that would set off the yellow centers and, really, the whole design. And I love the quilting--it finishes your piecing instead of competing with it.

I think I'd go with black but either way, this is going to be a very pretty quilt.

Black won't draw your eye away from the fun colors
and unique quilting.

I would go with black binding. :)

The owner of the quilt chose the color of thread.

I quilted the squares with wavy lines on purpose so they are supposed to be off center. I have done that on many quilts because it's a more affordable option than straight lines which would require ruler work.

have you got enought scraps to make it scrappy. would look great. Black is going to be hard to see to sew down. I like scrappy bindings, I did that on one of mine with black background.

I try to use a color from the quilt that will also blend with the backing fabric. My binding is often the same as the last border of quilt top.

I would take leftovers from the blocks and make a really scrappy binding.
