They all look great, but I like the first one best!

Calzo 11-19-2010 04:35 PM

I love it. I like the random placement better but either way it's a gorgeous quilt.

Ruth - you made me chuckle so hard I almost swallowed my gum.

I say #3 but I like structure.

pjustice63 11-19-2010 04:45 PM

I love the random mix.

karenchi 11-19-2010 04:49 PM

Vote for #1 picture...awesome

Mariposa 11-19-2010 04:51 PM

I vote for #1~

Patched 11-19-2010 04:55 PM

Your quilt is beautiful any way you do it. I have read all of the comments but haven't seen the answer to this question, "What pattern is it?", if you don't mind telling.

Sweetness 11-19-2010 04:56 PM

holy cow they're gorgeous anyway you turn them!

donnaree59 11-19-2010 05:06 PM

This is beautiful! I love bright colors with black.... My favorite choice is the random diamonds. This is a wonderful, wonderful quilt...

I plan to 'float' finished top with a row of black around the whole quilt, then maybe a border of color, then black and finished with black binding.

I like the first picture as well!

DebBen 11-19-2010 05:08 PM

I like the first one the best , the colors flow better in it, but any way you put it will be great.

karenm36 11-19-2010 05:16 PM

I really like number 1. In regards to the lint...I know what a pain that can be but I'm not sure the dryer will remove it. I'd be concern that even the little bit of friction would make the edges fray a bit and you'd have even more loose threads to tend to.

mollymct 11-19-2010 05:18 PM

I like the top pic best, but all look great!!

redquilter 11-19-2010 06:05 PM

Wow! That's a very difficult question. They are ALL gorgeous. Those colors are fabulous against the black. I think you can't go wrong no matter which one you choose. Some help, right? :)

It's "Color Falls" (link below) although in all honesty, I just figured it out from enlarging the picture on my screen and then strip pieced it, so it may be possible that my components aren't exactly like the pattern... (don't know if it's okay to 'admit' this?? hope so)

You're right - I'd better stick with the lint roller; already so many threads, black mostly, that they got all over the bed and pillows when I laid them out to try different combinations.
Thank you for your input, everybody!

It would be hard for me to really decide if I had to! I believe I am partial to the random best of all, though. All three are just beautiful.

pab58 11-19-2010 07:05 PM

I like them all, but I especially love the first one!!! Your quilt is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 11-19-2010 07:38 PM

Very striking colors. Love the 3rd the best.

sueisallaboutquilts 11-19-2010 07:41 PM

I also like the first one, but it hardly matters. GORGEOUS!!

deebee 11-20-2010 02:58 AM

Wow. All 3 are stunning. What a decision. However, whichever you choose will be beautiful.

They all are great, my personal taste is the random. It's what ever you like best.

brushandthimble 11-20-2010 04:48 AM

i like the ramdon placement. It is beautiful and either way will be a work of art:)

ranger 11-20-2010 06:09 AM

It's beautiful! They are all great layouts but I like the first one the best.

Matilda 11-20-2010 06:26 AM

I like any of the combinations. I think it is really beautiful!!

madelinkk 11-20-2010 07:22 AM

Your blocks are beautiful. The color gradations are very pleasing. I like no. 1.

postal packin' mama 11-20-2010 09:38 AM

THANK YOU, everyone, for taking the time to respond. I just couldn't decide and finally settled on making the diamonds each one color. (Now I'm dithering about what colors to put on the pillow shams -- all one color or one panel of each color to form the diamond.... maybe I'll just make the quilt long enough to go up & over the pillows so I don't have to make another decision! good grief, huh?)

dunngriffith 11-20-2010 10:06 AM

me too!

They're all very nice, but if I had to choose I'd pick number three!

joann hussey 11-20-2010 10:29 AM

Your colors are beautiful

champagnebubbles 11-20-2010 11:01 AM

2 random. But they all are wonderful

boohoofish 11-20-2010 02:55 PM

leaha 11-20-2010 03:36 PM

#1 gets my vote, really lovely! good job of picking your colors!

MOMBASIL53 11-20-2010 04:04 PM

I vote for the first one

Ileen 11-20-2010 05:57 PM

Beautiful!!!!!

Boxer mom 11-20-2010 06:30 PM

I like the second one.

moonwolf47 11-20-2010 06:39 PM

IMHO I like the 1st one.

Kascie 11-20-2010 09:13 PM

I love all of these, and am curious as to how each block is done. I mean, how large. Is each one black and then color in the corners? You've done an awsome job. Kascie

dungeonquilter 11-22-2010 07:46 AM

Can I suggest a different layout? Try laying it out with one colour flowing from top right to bottom left and a different colour from top left to bottom right.
