Not an orange person, but love this...it is not "screaming" oranges. You did a great job. I hope you post with the binding, anxious to see it. I have a question. I remember watching that tutorial and thinking that since the orange peels were secured down, could you just sandwich the quilt and then sew the peels and it would be quilted in one step? Do you think that would work?

OMGosh I absolutely love it!

I would not recommend doing it that way. Be prepared that you need to make lots and lots. I made 120 individual blocks, which are then joined into a block of four. My quilt top measures 41 x 52 and I am keeping it that size so I can quilt myself. My friend wants to make a blue queen sized one with no borders. I don't want to discourage her, but, she is going to need maybe 500 squares. This is a quilt you put your patient hat on.

I would not say it was hard, the word I would use is tedious as you cut interfacing, cut slices, put together, sew edges. Then you trim the edges, slit a hole in backside, turn right side out. Then you press each one, trying to get points in right direction. Then you applique each one, then you are ready to sew blocks together, phew, lots of religion, not hard though

I love it!!!! I watched the MSQC tutorial.... I would have a great desire to want to press the slices after you turn them inside out!!!! lol.....Yours turned out wonderfully!!!
