Both are terrific.

scrappylouisa 06-14-2011 04:35 AM

Wow! It looks just like one of the covered bridges in Myrtle Creek, OR that goes into a golf course.

Chicca 06-14-2011 04:53 AM

You have done a fantastic job. They are wonderful.

romanojg 06-14-2011 05:01 AM

You did a great job with it. I love covered bridges. I'm from WV and we have the the only one that is part of the US highways; according to the government anyhow. It was also the site of the first Civil War battle. My grandkids always love going there when we go home because we live in Va now and you don't see them here. I would be proud as heck to have made what you did and hang it in my house. I may just have to try; I have lots of pictures of Philippi's covered bridge.

Conniequilts 06-14-2011 05:07 AM

Linn County still has 8 covered bridges. Some are still in use, some are no longer used but sit to the side of new bridges. There is an actual self guided tour you can take to see them. If you ever make it back up to Oregon, you should take a tour. Just think of the series of quilts you could make.

ywoodruff5 06-14-2011 09:52 AM

Thank you for your kind words but no, I don't have a background in art - unless you consider my love of drawing, painting, etc., since I was a kid. And yes, both are original designs...lol.

Do you have a background in art? Because you don't create something like that by looking in a book. ;-)

Wow, I can't get over how fabulous they both turned out. I would love to have something like that hanging on the wall. Great work.

;-)

ywoodruff5 06-14-2011 09:55 AM
