These are two recently finished wallhangings that I did from a picture I took in Oregon while attending a quilting retreat. Sorry they aren't better pictures.

WOW! I love the second one, I just comes alive. It just pops out at you. It's almost like looking at a photo. Just beautiful.

The quilts are amazing. You did a beautiful job. I was looking at your picture trying to see if I recognized it as one of the bridges that are in Linn County. I love visiting those bridges. Except for the blacktop it is fun to imagine the original users of many of them.

i like the stained glass look better, but both are awesome!
|
those are wonderful
|
Both very different interpretations of the theme. First has a stained glass appeal and the second more realistic landscape. Very nice.

Lovely work, what a nice way to capture a vacation memory

Awesome. Covered Bridges are my "thing". I have pictures, postcards, oil paintings, pen and ink sketches, copper sculptures, jigsaw puzzles (which decorate my sewing room), Christmas ornaments, afghans, dishes, painted tile, cookie jar, butter keeper, napkin holder,Ho train structure, figurines, doll house miniature, jacket and ME designs. I have some fabric with CBs but to date, I do not have a CB quilt. Soon, though, very soon. Yours are outstanding and inspiring.

Holy moly!
Those are incredible. And I also love the one in your avatar. Do you have a background in art? Because you don't create something like that by looking in a book. ;-) Wow, I can't get over how fabulous they both turned out. I would love to have something like that hanging on the wall. Great work. |
Beautifully done. Love them.
|
I like both :)
|
You definitely captured the look and feel of the covered bridges! One of your photos looks like it was taken near Scio, Oregon.
|
Very nice indeed. Good job.

Both are gorgeous!

Great job!!! I almost stoped at one of the bridges on the way home from the beach retreat. We don't have many covered bridges left. Thanks for sharing!
