looks really good ...your area is so nice and neat

PunkQuilter 03-07-2011 04:13 AM

Wow-that's a great cabinet. I got something a couple of weeks ago that I am STILL refolding my fabric to fit. I wish I had 4 more of them. I will post a pic soon and you can have a look. It's a whole lot easier when the fabric is behind glass and you can see everything you have!

Lockeb 03-07-2011 04:16 AM

Fabulous cabinet..you truly are organized....WOW!!!!

lovedquilts 03-07-2011 04:49 AM

Such a pretty sight.

Ginger2010 03-07-2011 04:56 AM

Wow! That looks very nice! All of the fabric, wow! What a Stash! I would love to have a china cabinet like that for my little bit of a stash! But I have been looking for a cabinet like that for quite some time, just for my Barbie Dolls! Thanks for sharing!

4girlsmimi 03-07-2011 05:13 AM

Beautiful cabinet for $80. You did good! Your fabrics look beautiful displayed in it too. I like how you can see what you have at a glance.

kathymarie 03-07-2011 05:15 AM

Beautiful! Katie Kat is what really sets it off.

Homemother 03-07-2011 05:31 AM

Congratulations on a job well done!

stitchin 03-07-2011 06:00 AM

I did not read through all the comments. That being said please keep the fabric away from the wood. It will stain the fabric. I've lost some.

Motorcyclemad 03-07-2011 06:18 AM

Tell your husband to keep thinking. At least yours fits into ONE cabinet!

dorrell ann 03-07-2011 06:34 AM

I love that cabinet!Your fabric is sooooo neat I am working in my room today---

Eula Monahan 03-07-2011 06:54 AM

Beautiful!!! I just helped my husband organize his wood in the barn; I told him it was just like my fabric. He laughed and agreed.

leiladylei54 03-07-2011 07:48 AM

What a beautiful cabinet and so wonderful to be able to see the fabrics that you have.

Becky Crafts 03-07-2011 07:59 AM

What a lovely room you have to sew in! The cabinet is really nice too! All that fabric really makes me want to get into some of my projects. Thanks for sharing! :-)

fidgety 03-07-2011 08:02 AM

NICE!!!!!!! I wish I had a room big enough to hold all the fabric I intend to buy if I ever get to Mary Jo's.. :-(

emt2004 03-07-2011 08:06 AM

oldswimmer 03-07-2011 08:15 AM

What a beautiful room! The china hutch is perfect storage! YOu scorerd! Dont you just love finding stuff like that at Goodwill. It really adds the PERFECT touch to your room!

nena 03-07-2011 08:19 AM

Just a word of advice... If your going to Mary Jos you may need to buy another shelf. It is awesome.

19angel52 03-07-2011 08:23 AM

What a fantastic buy! Love how your fabric is displayed/organized/stored!!!!

MamaBear61 03-07-2011 08:36 AM

Beautiful, well done.

malega 03-07-2011 09:17 AM

That looks so very nice, the cabinet is so very beautiful.

lallyann 03-07-2011 09:27 AM

hmmm....I see a few more open spaces for some Mary Jo's fabric, don't you?! You can tell DH that you should be able to accomplish even more now that you have it all nicely organized and in view...so you'll need to stock up on a little more fabric, right?! LOL! The cabinet is beautiful and I know you must smile every time you look at it :)

joyce blint 03-07-2011 09:44 AM

I love the cabinet, esp the bottom shelf in the 2nd pic!!!

kajaza 03-07-2011 09:47 AM

Beautiful!

happymrs 03-07-2011 09:51 AM

Wow, I love how all your fabrics show in your cabinet, & how nicely folded they all are! Great job! Tell him, you don't want to miss Mary Jo's, it is worth stopping at & walking through. I never spend too much there, as I have a good stash, like you do, but always find a little something & their prices are so much better than quilt shops, so it's worth checking it out! Enjoy your new cabinet & all that stash, now that you can see it!...

Crafty Lady in WA 03-07-2011 10:08 AM

Looks pretty fantastic to me

boohoofish 03-07-2011 11:28 AM

Wonderful idea for storage and everything looks so pretty inside. It is no longer a "china" cabinet but a "fabric" cabinet.

PolkaBabe 03-07-2011 11:43 AM

Looks great, I did spy and interesting piece of fabric. I would say it is one of a kind, even has a couple of glowing dots. Cute.

Mousie 03-07-2011 12:01 PM

very pretty...full to the brim. That was a steal at 80.00 Deb, and couldn't have gone to a nicer person...so tell dh, you deserve to stop at Mary jo's.
Heck...any quilter deserves a stop at Mary Jo's!!!! give that up...when pigs fly! ;)

brenda21 03-07-2011 12:19 PM

very nice!!

The bad thing is DH thinks we should cancel our planned stop over at Mary Jo's. NOT!!!

I love the cabinet you bought - it is a beautiful piece of furniture and a wonderful way to showcase all the lovely fabric you have. I too want to make a stop one day at Mary Jo's, not far from where I live straight south off of I-85, if we're talking of the same place.

NUTMEG10 03-07-2011 12:40 PM

That cabinet is beautiful and all the fabric - wow. Look awfully pretty.

MissBarbQuilts 03-07-2011 01:03 PM

What a great idea! I'm trying to decide the best way to organize my own fabrics which I keep in an armoire called the "sewing cabinet". I just need to see them all.

CGail 03-07-2011 02:47 PM

Your cabinet with all the fabric showing looks great. - Cynthia

DA Mayer 03-07-2011 02:50 PM

Very neat and pretty. Much better use than having a few dishes in it.

hperttula123 03-07-2011 03:22 PM

That is great!!! I think I need you to come and organize my fabric :)
