I joined several months ago but, have been so busy looking at all the beautiful quilt that I've never got around to uploading any of mine. I love sewing but, quilting I've only been doing for about five years now. 98 % of my quilts are from just getting books and studying and taking the plunge and hoping it turns out the way I want it to. You could say I'm a jack of all trades but a master of none. I'm hoping this picture goes through. This quilt is one that I'm making up as I go. It started out to be a wall hanging and I just kept adding on.

The Oriental girls are embroidery designs from Hatched In Africa.
I actually filled out my profile but it looks like it didn't go through.
My name is Carolyn and I'm from Indiana. I sew, embroidery, quilt and oil paint. That's what I ment when I said I was a jack of all trades but a master of none. I like to try my had at every thing but then you fine you run out of time. I would like to say thanks for all the compliments.

Roxanne 02-26-2011 05:20 AM

Carolyn,
Your quilt is beautiful! I was just studying my asian fabrics last night trying to decide if there was "anything" I could do with them. I only have one niece that enjoys the asian theme in her decorating and I have already made one quilt for her, so I needed some inspiration-----Thanks for providing it.

hopetoquilt 02-26-2011 05:31 AM

I love the border
