Fantastic.....I love the craftsman homes. My Mother and Father in law had one in Iowa and it was a joy to visit. Lucky, lucky you. All your hard work shows yours off to perfection. The red door and trim is awesome. Enjoy!

Beautiful! We were in Shiner winter before last and loved it! What a cute little town and everyone was so friendly too :-)

And we LOVE Shiner Beer!

Yooper32 07-18-2011 03:58 AM

I'm so green I could choke. I can see those built-in bookcases and wooden archways and trim, trim, trim. What a beauty!

irquilter 07-18-2011 04:17 AM

WOW! Your home looks so peaceful! I LOVE the craftsman style home and I'm always looking at them in magazines and when I drive! It looks wonderful! Does it have any hardwood floors?

Your house is beautiful. If I could choose a style of architecture for my home, it definitely would be Craftsman. I just love those front porches and the beautiful wood finishes inside.

CAJAMK 07-18-2011 05:44 AM

karenm36 07-18-2011 05:45 AM

Your transformation is wonderful!!! Hardly looks like the same home! Well done! Oh, and I just realized you're in my neck of the woods! Maybe when I go to the LQS there I'll see your house on the way! ;-)

My all time favorite style of home! We lived in a 1910 craftsmen home in Albany, Oregon for approximately 10 years! I still miss that home..... Love your home too!

Lady Jane 07-18-2011 06:36 AM

We have the original hardwood floors and a couple of builtins. Around the fireplace in the living room is built in bookshelves and in the kitchen is a built in cabinet with shelves above. 12 ft ceilings, and I painted every room. Every room is a different color, and there is not a white wall in the house now. Put up beadbord panels in the dining room with a plate shelf on the top. Will have to find a couple more pics.

I am right across the street from the American Legion park in Shiner on the south side. I work at Martha's Quilting Corner also part time usually on friday and saturday.

If we dont get some rain pretty soon there wont be any again this year. Crop was very small last year but got maybe 30 lbs out of the shell. Have a few in the freezer just in case..

Landers 07-18-2011 07:17 AM

I am jealous! Growing up in Texas with pecans is the part I miss!!! Take care of those trees! Thanks for sharing!

I dream of owning a Craftsman one of these days! Lovely!!!

quiltingnonie 07-18-2011 08:24 AM

Beautiful home! Can't imagine why the previous owners let the shrubs hide that gorgeous brick porch front.

catladyquilts 07-18-2011 08:33 AM
