Really nice...

What's a craftsman home??? I heard of the tools. Also very beautiful home and nice big yard. And to die for pecan trees, that is what i want. How is the weather there year round I need a place to retire, and lots of open space. And I love how you trimmed in red, that is my favorite color.

Summers are hot hot hot and winters...well if you want to call it winter, we might get freezing temps for a couple of weeks, most of our cold weather is in January thru the end of February, it will get cold, and once in a while down in the 20's and rarely teens, but spring and fall are wonderful!! Right now I wish it was fall! The heat is what kills me! up to 100+ in the summers usually in August. A/C has spoiled us I think.

Craftsman is a style early 1900s built very sturdy and usually with a porch, kind of a takeoff from a victorian but not so ornate.

Love it! Looks like a magazine house, and all those big wonderful trees!

Thank you, that is my Texas Cabins Pattern I just published and started selling. Had some great response. It was our raffle quilt for our quilt guild here in Shiner last March and was a huge success! I am very proud of it!

judyyoungs 07-18-2011 08:52 PM

Beautiful. It's hard to imagine why they had all that beautiful brick covered up. And I love the porch.

lscho4jm 07-18-2011 09:17 PM

Perfect home for a quilter! Lovely! I want one too.

lorimax5859 07-19-2011 05:50 AM

I love your new home! It reminds me of homes back in Michigan where I grew up. Nothing like that in Arizona! Congratulations, it's beautiful.

craftymatt2 07-19-2011 07:06 AM

OK so my son is an architect and i told him to get planning, got to have one.

looks great!

Lilrain 07-19-2011 01:18 PM

I am envious. I live in a circa 1997 house and it is filled with antiques, which seem somewhat out of place

Carol in Colorado 07-19-2011 01:19 PM

Soooo beautiful!

JanieH 07-19-2011 01:39 PM

Beautiful home! I am so envious of the porch!

Taughtby Grandma 07-19-2011 02:20 PM

No, we did not do any additions, that was all done by the original owner. We are only the 3rd owner. All original floors in the house and 12 ft ceilings. Huge kitchen with a reclaimed wood countertop 3" thick.

My son does computer drafting. He wants to build one similar. But right now he is building me an 18'x32' quilt room in the backyard...Cannot wait! It is being done on a very tight budget and taking a long time... BUT it will get done, we have 4 walls and starting on the roof portion!
