Ok guys, here are some more pics of my sewing barn! We built this the winter before last and it is pretty much all done, little things here and there still need finished.
I am standing on my back steps of my house when I took this pic. This is the porch of the barn, looking out towards the pond. |
Wow! What a dream come true!
Holy Hannah! What a wonder to have a such a large building built to suit for sewing. I know you also have a bar in there (I was drooling over the inside photo's), but Holy Hannah that is gorgeous!!!

Very nice!

A barn with a view ... perfect!
Looks like it is your "home away from home" ........ without the commute! |
Oh, teriann your place is beautiful. Sewwwwwwwww relaxing ! Any room in that fridge for a couple bottles of wine, great place to sit out on the porch sipping on a good glass of wine and looking at the view......Michele

Now all you need is a Barn Quilt put up on your barn.

WOWEEE! What a thing of beauty that barn is. So what kind of toys are in the man cave portion of it?? My brother keeps saying he wants to build a barn like that on our property with an apartment in it so he can stay there when he comes to visit. The downstairs would be for the motorcycles the tractor he wants to buy (sheesh we only have 2 acres!) and goodness knows what else. But more building means more stuff and I am at the age where I want to be downsizing, not acquiring space for more stuff. I don't want to have to deal with the excess property taxes that would bring. But yours is surely lovely and the views breathtaking. I do love it and you certainly paint a tempting picture.

A barn with a porch by the water!!!!!!!!!! Now that could be comfy! Can I come visit you? ha ha
yoou mean the barn is not your residence????? Holy cow are you lucky to have such and awesome studio-can we all come and have a quilting bee with you pretty please????
I can get there in about 8 hours, all by interstate! Put the iced tea on with lots of sugar and lemon and I'll be there Monday night for the week!!!! I'll even bring my own blowup bed!:p:D
Oh man, I WISH!! Jan in VA |

Beautiful! What a fabulous porch also!
Happy for you to have such a wonderful place to sew and create. With a view like that, there should be lots of inspiration.
that is soooooo gorgeous!
Sooooo beautiful!! Except for the flaky white stuff in winter, I could be very happy there! Enjoy!!!
WOW all that for quilting? I am in awe. Congratulations! I'm sure your so happy!
OK, like everyone else, I want one, too.
I showed the interior pics to DH, his comment was..I suppose you want one too! Yep! Wait til he sees the outside! And with the man cave downstairs, just maybe I can convince him! You've got a beautiful place. Would love to see that 100 year old house now to see how ya'll fixed it up! You folks are definitely handy with the projects I've seen so far.
Absolutely fabulous barn!!! Love it! This is the first time I've seen this barn...have you posted pictures of the inside?
Nancy in Leroy Twp, Oh. (Painesville) |
I really want to see inside!
I do so love your barn, both inside and out. Thank you for posting pictures, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
So--the barn is for just sewing? Are there other posts about this gorgeous building? :-) I LOVE barns. It almost looks like a fabric store--or retreat for quilters. We have a huge barn--my sanctuary, but no sewing happens out there. lol
You are SOOOOooo lucky! I am SOOOOooo envious! I would live in there and never leave! It is absolutely gorgeous!
You gotta put up a barn quilt to finish it off. |
That whole place is just gorgeous! As soon as I win the lottery, I'm gonna start having mine built! LOL!
That is the best Mom Cave I've ever seen! Your Cooter looks like my Daisy Mae and she does that same same sad puppy face. I call it her "ASPCA Puppy Face."
Wow!!! What a wonderful haven you have created!!!
You know, Ohio is that far from Texas...lol If I had a setup like that, my hubby wouldn't see me for weeks on end. Love your precious Cooter. Life would be so empty without pets.
what a beautiful home :o)

The outside is just as pretty as the inside. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Just beautiful. Did I miss something? Have you already posted pictures of the inside? I also would love to see inside.
Congratulations you will have such a great time there. The porch looks so welcoming. BrendaK |
From your inside pictures and all the old looking wood, I thought for sure you had converted an old barn. What a surprise to see it built from the ground up. It must sound amazing inside when it rains! Beautiful landscaping!
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
