Over and Down Under
1 Attachment(s)
I love the colors and intertwining ribbon effect of this quilt. This is Bonnie Sullivan's pattern, "Over and Down Under". I used her Woolies Flannel as well. I'm going to use it as a wall hanging, but it could be used as a lap quilt, too.

I saw that in Keepsake quilting and loved it! Have almost bought the kit several times--but both my daughter and DIL want it too (and me making it) so know if I make it for my house it's likely to be a problem! :p
|
A lovely result.

Beautiful quilt.

Oh how lovely....and you can enjoy the pretty colors more so by using it as a wall hanging.
I have not worked with flannels yet. Did you prewash them? I worry about the flannel getting little balls after washing. Thanks for sharing your quilt! |

Interesting pattern and a lovely choice of colors. It just looks warm and cozy.
|
Beautiful colors! It just shines😉

I purchased her pattern at the Sacramento Sew Expo. I would have liked to have purchased the wool jelly roll and background as well but it was a bit over my budget as the jelly roll was $50. So I think I'm going to give it a try with my batik collection. Hope I can get the same effect because this quilt is a stunner.

I agree, it's a great pattern, and you did a super job.
|
Ohhhh, I so love that as the colors are so rich paired with the black. Nice job! Thanks for sharing.

Ooh, I love it. So warm, rich, cozy. You really have an eye for color, and I'm sure you had to stay organized.

What a gorgeous quilt. Never heard of Woolies Flannel. Is that flannel that looks like wool? or feels like wool?
You really did a wonderful job on it. It's beautiful! |
Very pretty. The pattern had been back ordered for quite some time - more than 3 months - and is now available. I bought a copy this week and can't wait to get it.
|
Wonderful use of those rich colors. Beautiful.
