I just finished an owl quilt for my grandson who will be born the end of July. The pattern is on the front of the Spring 2011 "Quilts and More" magazine. The fabrics are "Hooty Hoot" by Riley Blake and "Urban Zoologie" by Robert Kaufman. It was a lot of fun to make, but I'm ready for a quilt that doesn't have any applique! It was done on my Janome 6600.

I did have some trouble finding the Urban Zoologie fabric. Every time I checked fabric.com, it would be out of stock. They would give a date when they'd be getting more in, and I finally figured out that I'd have to check the website consistently and order right away because it didn't last long at all.

It's cute enough that it was worth the wait!
