Just finished the last of the binding on my latest quilt. made from a pattern by a NZ Quilter Barbara Pritchard- all done in Bali Fabrics. Have been working on this for 18 months. All the petals (208) and all the flowers etc were all handstitched (buttonhole stitch) which I find very relaxing as like to have some hand work to do. I has this quilted as far too big for me- biggest project I have done yet. Also a close up of centre so you can see all the detail.
Hope you all had an enjoyable New Year. Here in Queensland Australia there is a lot of devestation with floods-further south than us but we are expecting to get hit soon- whole towns wiped out and poor people left with nothing- a good opportunity for quilters in Australia to make and donate quilts which I certainly would like to do if I get the time. Catch you all again soon. KiwiAussie Jen Pacific Petals Close up Centre {Pacific Petals |
