Did you get your idea from the latest Quilting Arts magazine? I just got that one and was thinking of trying something like in the mag. That jelly fish is really cool! I never would have thought of that!

Yes, the idea for the painted canvas came from that issue. I just decided to to a jellyfish instead of painting...I may try painting something on the next one...

The technique of quilting and painting the canvas did in fact come from the Dec/Jan issue of Quilting Arts magazine. The jellyfish is just something I have been wanting to do. I also want to do a seahorse too...

Yes, the idea of the quilted canvas and painting is from the Dec/Jan issue of Quilting arts magazine. I started with two layers of canvas fabric and thin batting, did very tight quilting, squared the piece up and applied the binding. Then I used regular white acrylic paint to catch the high spots so the pattern became more apparent. Hope this makes sense...
