panel with a window view

Hello Quilters, well here is my throw size 50 x 70 I made out of this deer panel, I cut into 9 sections. I had no pattern, just Pinterest pictures to go by. I was hesitant to post, because I have no long arm machine. I just used my regular sewing machine, dropping my feed dog and free motioned quilted it. It is not perfect, by any means.

You did a wonderful job...I like how the rectangle blocks resemble bricks...you quilting looks fine. We are always our own worse critics. : )
Looks so real! Love the brick work too.
Quilting and quilt is great!!!
Lovely quilt and quilting!
Love the quilt and quilting--great job
it looks great
Great Job! It is really a perfect illusion.
Looks great! As Angela Walters says, done is better then perfect!
Looks great to me. Lots on here FMQ on their regular machines.
It looks awesome! Your quilting looks good. I FMQ on my regular machine sometimes.
That's so pretty. Your color selections are perfect for that quilt. I think the majority of quilters on this board don't own a long arm machine. Beautiful quilting can come from a regular domestic machine. It's not the machine that makes the quilt look beautiful....it's the one who quilts it. Your quilting is fabulous & please never be hesitant to post pictures for us. We all quilt & sew at different levels. When I would give away a quilt in the past I always pointed out my mistakes to the one I was giving it to. I never apologize for my mistakes anymore & never point them out & they are always loved by the one I give them to.

Good advice, osewme. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that doesn't own a longarm. Besides the cost, I have no room to put one. I told my husband we could get him a portable building and give him all the living room furniture to go in it, so I could take the large living room for a LA, but he won't go for it-lol

:D Sometimes husbands just don't understand! :D
I think you did an awesome job!!
Well Dear!
Your deer quilt looks great! You kept the integrity of their faces, etc by using a larger center square. Congrats on a great finish! |
Looks great. You can be proud.
That is a great quilt!!!
Great quilt!
Great quilt. Looks so nice with the border and your quilting is wonderful.
This is beautiful!
Great job!
I have a bias towards window frame quilts - don't know why. I like how you cut the panel into large and smaller pieces to emulate a picture window. Nicely done!
Like looking out a window to see the deer. I saw a buck this morning in a Yard in Oakbrook, IL, which is not a usual thing.
Looks PERFECT to me.. Well Done.
Great job on this! Fun use of a panel too.
Really nice quilt!
Nice window view.
Awesome. BrendaK

Beautiful! The placement of the deer out the window is just perfect. It draws the eye in. ANd I love your brick surround. If only the folks with longarms posted pictures, this would be a very sparse board visually. I don't own one and have no plans to.
Good job!!
Now you can have deer peaking thru your window all year long. Great job.
Thats great!!!
I love the way you did this. Very cool!
Looks fantastic. Great job on your FMQ.
You really did a great job! Your quilt turned out gorgeous!
This is just terrific! Your quilting is great. Congratulations on a beautiful quilt.
