I started this wall hanging about 2 years ago and got distracted because the borders were taking so long. I finally pulled it out of the UFO bin and got it done!!

Wow. What's the pattern info? Not that I'll tackle it any time soon, but it is amazingly beautiful.

NorBanaquilts 02-10-2011 04:42 AM

It's Summer in Provence from the book Paper Piece the quick strip way by Peggy Martin. Not sure the quick is correct, but I love how it came out.

What a beautiful medallion pattern and I just love your color and fabric choices! This will look lovely hanging on your wall. You should feel really great to have this one finished - it looks like a challenging pattern. Is it a Judy Niemeyer?

Oops - we must have posted at the same time - I see where you posted the book and pattern name above!

GrannyW5 02-10-2011 04:59 AM

Wow that quilt is a real jaw dropper! It is gorgeous and you did a great job!

I so hear you on those borders. One of my current WIPS has PP border with long sawteeth like yours only mine are straight not curvy and it is a bed size so we are talking sawtooth border strips two at around 98" and 2 at around 76". Anyway you are right those long strips of saw teeth have gotten very monotonous and it seems to be taking forever even though it isn't. Just so many of the same thing over and over again. My border is almost done though!

sidmona 02-10-2011 06:28 AM

It's absolutely stunning!

sewwjudy 02-10-2011 06:28 AM

Wow! That pattern is soooo cool!

NorBanaquilts 02-10-2011 06:30 AM

Keep going, it really is worth all the time and effort! Please post a pic, we'd love to see it even in it's WIP status.
