I got a total of 9 blocks made for a total of 3 hours. LOL!!!
I think I will make it a baby quilt, sew it together and add borders. I still have to square the blocks up so please don't pay any mind to the uneven edges. I think I will save the rest of the squares for a future 9 patch quilt. Be honest and tell me what you all think. :D :D The blue is actually purple. |
I think it turned out lovely. :)

I think it will be adorable for a baby quilt.

Nice work, colors are great
It's purple on my monitor and it's also adorable. I like your layout. You do such a good job of choosing colors.
Cj, Love the colors. Looks great. :D
great job I am working on a memory quilt using this method....I found if I pin a bunch of them together it was easier to do an assembly line formation which seemed to be faster also
Thank you very much. I am really like how it came out, I am just not sure I care for the 10 minute block.

Very cute fabric for a baby quilt. I made a couple of quilts like this for my daughter when she was a baby. She loves them. However, she has ripped several of the 3D bowties. They got caught on furniture and stuff when she was dragging them around.
I had to wash them a lot. "Biological baby messes" tended to get caught in the pockets under the bowties. |
thanks for timing yourself. I count that as a warning for me that it will take longer than that!!
It is sooo cute even if the blocks took longer than ten minutes!
I like it.

Very pretty blocks. And don't ever think a block named in minutes is how long it will take most of us to make it. First off a quilter on Utube uses precut squares, that saves alot of time. Second she has the best equipment, and she makes the blocks alot before she times herself. I too am just making a lapsize quilt of big 10 minute blocks. I had to iron, cut, pin, tear out occasional seams, iron again, etc till I got each so named 10-minute block completed. I estimate about 20 minutes per block after I got good at it. LOL So you did great!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it looks GREAT! Your hard work paid OFF!
that is pretty. love the colors for a baby quilt. gosh, lucky baby that gets it. LOL
Very beautiful !! :-D

Who would of thought it would turn out so pretty...great job
Nice for a baby ... and for sure a fresh Spring/Summer look to it.
Carrie, I would sew them down for a baby. I'm thinking of making one for a 25 year old and I think I'll sew them down. I'd do the baby quilt square, not the turned back edges for the cathedral window look.
well it looks verry pretty did a great job
What cheery colors!

time well spent. very spring/baby. I showed my sister how to do one. 30 minutes and 40 cuss words later she rolled her eyes at me and mumbled "10 minute block my a@$". yea we had problems getting the middle to lay down and behave.
